Ironman UK to recognize Finishers with Always Advancing

Ironman UK and Ireland have decided to use Always Advancing for their finisher medals for the 2012 season. The partnership, which will begin with the Ironman 70.3 UK in June, will encompass four total events in the United Kingdom, Wales and Ireland.

Like other Ironman events, they will challenge athletes not just in the distances offered, but in the terrain that they will traverse. The completion of these events is to be met with not only a sense of personal accomplishment, but a memento of that feat as well.

The Ironman UK and Ireland team recently released this statement about the partnership:

“We are excited about the new partnership and look forward to launching our full range of new medals for 2012. The new designs are really unique and we are confident that they will be well received by    our athletes, offering them a great memento of their race.”

It marks another opportunity for Always Advancing to showcase their products abroad. With additional events in the UK, Australia, Jerusalem, Italy, Africa and Canada Always Advancing continues to solidify its place in the international endurance event market.

Chris Seiler of Always Advancing had this to say about the new partnership, “We are looking forward to providing the Ironman UK and Ireland events with a level of service that will transcend providing medals. Our goal is to grow with these events and continue to build on our success in the international market, while simultaneously growing our presences in the United States. This growth has led us to expanding our sales and support team over the last few months. It has been and will continue to be an exciting ride.”

Spartan Race signs with Always Advancing

Spartan_Race

We are proud to announce that Always Advancing has recently partnered with the Spartan Race to be the exclusive supplier of finishers’ medals for the more than 150,000 participants in 2012.
This partnership will encompass all 33 Spartan Obstacle Challenge Races in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Europe.

Beginning with the first event in 2012, Always Advancing will supply the official finisher medals for all events in the Spartan Race Series. In addition to the finisher medals, Always Advancing’s exclusive partnership with iTaB will allow competitors to commemorate the event with custom engraved inserts that will fit into the back of each medal. This will give competitors the ability to put a custom note, date or other text on each medal that they receive throughout the Spartan Race Series.

Joe Desena, founder of Spartan Race had this to say about the partnership, “It’s as much about great attitude as it is athleticism at Spartan Race.  Spartan finisher medals represent accomplishment, perseverance, and the commitment it takes to finish a race.  To see people earn their medal and cherish it like they just earned the Medal of Honor in the military is an awesome experience that we’ll have the privilege to witness tens of thousands of racers accomplish in 2012.”

This project will encompass a large quantity of medals throughout a vast geographical area, but the team at Always Advancing is more than up to the challenge. “Our goal is to not only meet, but exceed, the expectations of the Spartan Race organizers and participants,” said Kevin Sullivan, Senior Vice President at Always Advancing. “We may even have to enter one or two of these events ourselves.”

So if you were looking for a great Extreme Endurance Event to be a part of, the Spartan Race Series is not only a great event, but you will get a great finisher medal too!

About Spartan Races

Spartan Race is an international obstacle racing series with three levels of courses: three-mile Sprints with roughly a dozen obstacles; eight-mile Super Spartan with 15 or more obstacles; and 10- to 12-mile Beast Races.  The Spartan Death Race, held in Pittsfield, VT is an annual event that inspired the obstacle racing series and is reserved for the most extreme competitors. Spartan racers may compete as individuals or teams.  The series is the brainchild of Joe Desena of Pittsfield, Vt. and seven extreme athletes and a royal Marine.

Spartan Races are held in each region of the U.S. starting with a Sprint and working up to an Beast. The World Championship Beast will be held annually in Vermont starting in 2012. Courses are muddy, creative and extreme – uniquely designed to exhaust and exhilarate as well as test competitors’ strength, stamina, mental and emotional fitness and sense of humor.
